BBNPABrecon Beacons National Park Authority - The government appointed body that is responcible for looking after the area around the Brecon Beacons designated as a National Park.
 
BOAT

Byway Open to All Traffic - A highway shown on the Definitive Map as having public right of access for all classes of traffic e.g. foot, horse, cycle, motor cycle and motor car.

Definitive Map and StatementA map and description of all the Footpath, Bridleway, RUPP and BOAT highways that a Highway Authority is responcible for. The Statement should detail attributes such as the width of the highway.
 
DMMODefinitive Map Modification Order - The mechanism by which the Definitive Map and Statement can be altered to change the status of a highway or for new highways to be entered. E.g. you might apply to a Highway Authority to make a DMMO to upgrade the recorded status of a highway from RUPP to BOAT.
 
DMSDefinitive Map and Statement - A map and description of all the Footpath, Bridleway, RUPP and BOAT highways that a Highway Authority is responcible for. The Statement should detail attributes such as the width of the highway.
 
FootpathA highway recorded on the Definitive Map as having public access rights for users on foot.
 
HAHighway Authority - the government appointed public body resposible for maintaining and protecting the publics rights on highways in an area. This statutory authority is usually the County Council, Metropolitan Borough Council or Unitary Authority.
